About the Artist
I am fascinated with color and utilizing it to increase emotional intensity. Most of these artworks have been created as a response to life events, to process them and to contain them. I love to make art that tells a story but leaves the determination of the story up to the viewer. Utilizing symbolic imagery and archetypes, the artworks often pull from mythology, paganism and folklore.
I use my Instagram account as a free gallery space. It unintentionally began when I started school to become an art therapist. Thus, it has been a mostly chronological autobiographical catalogue of my life experiences as it has grown and as I have grown as a person. It is interesting in reflection to be able to look at a certain artworks on a certain day and remember what had occurred that had created that piece. A few of them hallmark pivotal changes that have shifted the course of my life.
Making art helps me function and exist. I love best when these artworks find a home because the story that they tell speaks to someone else.
